Courses

The objectives of our school's physical education program are to train a healthy body and mind, promote physical and mental development, cultivate sportsmanship, foster team spirit, and develop lifelong exercise habits.

Our school's daytime and evening physical education courses are divided into required courses and elective courses.

  1.  Daytime Department:
    1. Undergraduate Department:
      1. For students admitted in the 108 academic year (inclusive) and earlier, physical education for the first, second, and third years is required, with 2 hours of instruction per week and 0 credits. Failure to pass results in ineligibility to graduate. The fourth year is elective, with 2 hours of instruction per week and 1 credit. Passing grades are recorded, but do not count towards the minimum graduation credits.
      2. For students admitted from the 109 academic year onward, physical education for the first and second years is required, with 2 hours of instruction per week and 0 credits. Failure to pass results in ineligibility to graduate. The third and fourth years are elective, with 2 hours of instruction per week and 1 credit. Passing grades are recorded and, with departmental approval, up to 2 credits may count towards the minimum graduation credits.
      3. Required courses must be completed before taking elective courses.
    2. Junior College Department: Physical education for the first to fourth years is required. The first and second years have 2 hours of instruction per week and 1 credit. The third and fourth years have 2 hours of instruction per week and 0 credits. Failure to pass results in ineligibility to graduate.
  2. Evening Department:
    1. Two-Year Technical Program: Physical education is exempt (applicable from the 107 academic year).
    2. Four-Year Technical Program: Physical education for the first and second years is required, with 2 hours of instruction per week and 0 credits. Failure to pass results in ineligibility to graduate (applicable from the 105 academic year).

Physical education classes are divided into three categories based on the student group to facilitate instruction.

  1. Five-Year Junior College Department: Classes are conducted by original class units.
  2. Daytime and Evening Department Specialized Physical Education: Classes are formed based on students' preferences for specific sports.
  3. Adaptive Physical Education: Classes are formed for students with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, or acute injuries that prevent intense physical activity.
